Background of the Study
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a critical driver of economic growth, offering numerous employment opportunities. In Minna Local Government Area (LGA), Niger State, unemployment rates remain high, particularly among youth and women, despite the growing demand for ICT skills. ICT training campaigns have been introduced to equip residents with the skills needed to access job opportunities in the digital economy. However, the effectiveness of these campaigns in enhancing job opportunities remains unclear. This study examines the impact of ICT training campaigns on employment prospects in Minna LGA.
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the implementation of ICT training campaigns in Minna LGA, many participants still face challenges in securing employment. Factors such as insufficient outreach, inadequate training quality, and a mismatch between acquired skills and job market demands contribute to this issue.
